There were many cut corners during production and engineering, thats why, I can't remember his name, but a discrepancy between an engineer and his boss/father-in-law caused him to quit, due to the minimum placement of life boats. That was a time when people had loyalty to their dedication, definitely not something this generation possess.it wasn't unsinkable, so they had no problem with that.
