Question:
Long story-Short; Bought a Brand new boat off the showroom floor at a boat show. Went to pick it up a few days later and the trailer looked like or old '79 trailer-rusted from the wrench to the tires. We told the dealership. We got not even a quarter mile down the road and the engine cover blew up, destroying the Bimini top and cracking the hull. the seats flew off and-lets just say we returned the boat. Dealership told us to take it home go out for the weekend and have fun. Problem after problem-returned more that 5 times! We only had it in the water a total of 6 times (3 weekends). The dealers excuse was they needed more time to fix all the problems. So, we handed the boat over to them in Aug...and the still have it-not finished- and will bayliner is refusing to help. Any suggestions or Advice-or encouragement-is welcomed!
Thanks

What kind of evinrude propeller should i go with?
Well, you bought a "BAYLINER" (the Ford pinto of the water) but thats not going to help you now, I would inform a laywer and have a letter or phone call made to the dealership, try and get your money back, or sell the boat "as is". I would suggest "BOSTON WHALER", expensive, yes but, a reliable boat, that won't sink, and you'll get all of your money back at re-sale, something that most boat makes don't do. If it makes you feel any better I had a Bayliner for a short time, problems, I dumped it and bought a Boston Whaler, it was like moving out of the Ghetto, and into "Beverly Hills", a much safer, secure feeling, with little or no worry's.How Should I Polishing Metal Window trim?
Never get a bayliner, they are poorly made and always have problems. It is worth spending the extra money and getting something like a Hydra sport which are fairly inexpensive for a quality hull.types of marine communication?
Sorry about your lemon. Bayliners do not have a good reputation. Get a Sea Ray!When does a boat become classified as a ship ?
Document each issue and contact a lawyer before it is out of the warranty period.
Although Bayliners are inexpensive they are not necessarily a bad boat. I used to own a 1992 Trophy 23' Walk-around and it performed without a hitch. I bought the boat site unseen, guess I was one of the Lucky ones. I'm assuming your boat is an inboard/outboard otherwise the Engine Cover would not have harmed the Bimini. In 1997 I put the boat through a real beating. Went deep sea in about 4 to 6 foot seas and a few 8 to 10 footers, miracoulously we survived and the boat came out unscaved. I now own a 20 C.C 1983 Model but with a1999 Evinrude, still go out deep sea in it, yet I don't trust it as I did the Bayliner.....At the time the only other boat I would rather have had during that time would have been a Wellcraft, yet I could not afford the price tag about 3 to 4 times the cost.
how do i get my boat warm up lever to hit higher rpm's?
get a lawyer . this guy i know had a baymaster and the floor started to crack. long story short he took the company to court and good a brand new boat. that is one way to get it done if the dealer and bayliner refuses to help you. there is no reason to have a new boat in the shop for that long. unless you are having a new boat built for youSounds like a good boat to insure for replacement value and accidentally set it afire.
Re Caledonian Macbrayne and the Glen Sannox?
I am not recommending you break any laws in the process of said fire. Check local fire codes first.

Tough luck is better than no luck at all. Sorry your was so bad with the purchase of that Bayliner.
