YES There is such a thing a as six stroke engine. It's being worked on and isn't in production however it does exist and it is being tested. The last two strokes are "Steam" strokes. It's a process where equal amounts of gasoline and water are mixed. The gas stroke ignites and uses engine heat to make steam from the water where a steam stroke is used for propulsion. now i may be way off base here but as far as i know there is no such thing,4 stroke and 2 stroke is all that i have ever herd of the 4 stroke has 4 cycles when the piston goes down the intake valve is open and the air and fuel mixture is drawn into the cylinder,when the piston gets to the bottom the intake valve closes,this is the first stroke,then the piston starts back upwith the valves closed compressing the air fuel mixture this is the second stroke called the compression stroke,when it gets to the top or in most cases just a few degrees before the sparkplug ignites the mixture sending the piston back down with extreme force this is called the power stroke,the force created in the power stroke is enough to keep things in motion untill the next power stroke,anyway when the piston hits bottom and starts back up the exaust valve is opened and the piston pushes all the spent material out the exaust,thus the fourth stroke is called the exaust stroke,and the cycle continues untill you run out of fuel or cut the ignition off,sorry to be so windy,now on to the 2 stroke two stroke engines are different they exaust @the bottom of the cylinder through a hole in the cylinder wall and fire every time the piston reaches the top the power stroke and the intake stroke are combined exaust occurs when the piston reaches bottom thats about the best i can explain it,and not too good at explaning the 2 stroke hope this helps
