What is something you read from on a chart and an action you perform in a boat?
I have owned and know a couple of people who do own bayliners and If you are looking for a descent priced entry level boat(a boat for a begginer) a bayliner is a good way to go. I purchased a 85 bayliner with a small cabin. it was my second boat. i loved it it handled well had a good top speed. I would not be afraid of getting myself another one. all depends on what you are looking to use the boat for.I have had a couple and they are good hulls but the ride is alil ruff compared to others out there. Over all as said above good entry lvl boat.
yes they are good boats i live about 15 min away from where they are made Arlington WA. bayliner kinda sucked for a couple years with thin spots in the glass. This was about 88 or 89 This problem was quickly resolved with extra bracing and floor joist. I know several people who have worked for them. (notice HAVE worked) The company does not pay employees well and often hires temp work. Probably to keep the price down. But for the price compared to sea ray or other fancy models bayliner is a nice boat with a cheap price. the boat as far as being a good hull, the body of the boat are built well.
How do you connect 3 batteries for a trolling motor.?
They are great boats, they are the only power boats that I would buywere can i find a piston 4 a 200hp merc?
I would suggest talking to someone that knows about boats, I own a "Boston Whaler" I would'nt go out in anything less, I've worked on "Bayliners", I have to say that they are really pieces of "CRAP" ! Don't chance your life on one, they use "Staples" and "Particle board" for bracing of the hull.Where can I get a 1991 sunbird?
Was the Pinto a good car? It depends onwhat you are comparing it to. There are a lot better choices out there. I work on boats and am embarrassed to be seen test running one. If it is used it probably needs a LOT of work. You usually get what you pay for. But I know some people who have owned more than one - why I don't know. Probably can't afford a quality boat.BTW: Anyone who would only buy a Bayliner doesn't know anything about boats.
what are the advantages and disadvantages of a dugout boat?
There's nothing wrong with Bayliner boats. If you want a brand new boat, and are on a limited budget, they are the way to go. Not everyone can afford a brand new Sea Ray, or Donzi to take to the water. Buy what you can afford, and take good care of it, and you'll have years of pleasure!how Can I get the old flex rod out of the steering tube it sens to be in to Pisces on the outboard?
i'm sorry, but i can't believe how many people are saying these are good boats!what is the price for a new commuter tour boat that will carry over 75 people?
bayliners are cheap boats because the manufacturer 'cuts corners' in building them. you can save a lot of money in construction if you use a lower grade wood core, or a cheaper epoxy, etc etc. bayliner cuts all of the corners, and effectively makes a cheap boat.
any petrol stations open in hull today?
the older bayliners had 'force' engines on them. these 'force' engines were the same exact block and lower unit as mercury, but SOMEHOW they were a whole lot cheaper! how you ask? cutting corners!
So, I am very interested in learning how to sail/buying a boat....?
i would recommend going for a higher end boat, personally.
bayliners are known as binliners in the uk marine industry but in general you get what you pay for be carefull buying second hand if the price looks too good to be true it probably is
