Building Titanic 2 asking for trouble ?

Question:
If they were to build the RMS Titanic again in present day...of course technologically advanced but still an exact replica of the tragically befallen ship before it.Do you think that its fate would be sealed with the fate that met Titanics or would things change this time and it actually get to its port?

How difficult is it to drive an 18 ft speedboat around Oahu?

By the way there are rumors of this build to actually happen but like i said RUMORS.

Boat won't pick up speed?

Aye lassie, the fate of her name sake could befall on her. Pitty the blasphemous idiot that uttered those word,"God Himself couldn't sink her!"The holy scrips says Never temp the Lord and if this fine lady to be built by men they must remember the fate of the first one, else Davy Jones may have another superb vessel for his collection indeed!
Seriously the fist was built using untested technology and the steel was brittle. The good Captain was off watch and his First Officer ordered all back full and rudder, which was too small, to port which pulled her into the iceberg. The White Star Rep ordered the Captain to be running full speed in spite of the ice warnings. It was a comedy of errors that brought her to her doom and not just the design that failed.
With modern methods we can built a Nimitz Carrier on a computer then actually build it to plan with out troubles. Newest engineering and building methods will overcome the past failures. No the Titanic II will be a bonnie ship and make the White Star Line proud. Michael T.

I'm going to rephrase the question. Why, is there a difference between a statute mile and nautical mile?

unless the made the hull thicker the same thing could happen again.

Follow up on ignition coil problems?

No big deal, they know what the causes of the hull breach were (no, it wasn't the thickness of the hull plates) and wouldn't make the same mistakes again.

If I wanted to build a full scale PT Boat, where could I get a complete set of construction drawings?

I question the wisdom of building another one because of the financials, by today's standards Titanic is obsolete.

Problems with insuring boats converted to lpg?

Why should a new one fail (other than economically?), modern construction and materials would ensure a long life. It has been determined that the original ship was built with faulty steel.

What do I need to do to acquire a captaincy in Europe for a dual engine 9 metre cabin cruiser?

i believe it was said just before she left port "the hull is so strong god himself couldnt sink her" im not sure by whom it was supposedly said. so if they build another lets hope knowbody says it again!

Do you go to Penta Career Center?

So long as the next captain isn't a complete retard like the first one, it should be OK.

Project for RC boats!!!HELP!PLEASE?

It wouldn't pose much of a problem, because it was a one-in-a-million set of circumstances which sank the ship, and new watertight division rules, lifeboat regulations, radio watches, the International Ice Patrol, and radar would all help to keep that from happening again. By the way, Captain Smith was not a retard - he had been serving with the White Star Line for thirty-five years, and this was his very first mishap.
