I've got a 1987 Mercury 135 outboard (B117465) that is running rough and smoking, any ideas?
you'll be just fine with any size motor on a 17' boat as long as you don't run it wide open. this could load it up and could cause damage.how do you splice multiplat rope?
Nothing "happens" you just go a lot slower, maybe not able to get the boat to plane out, but if you just want to fish and tool around go ahead!! Me I prefer 60 or 70 mph!!I would keep the 140 hp. just because you have 140 ponies doesn't mean you have to use them all at once. that is why you have a throttle. just be glad you have that much power when you want it.
What Is The Shelf Life Of A Gel Battery?
Some of those older, larger motors eat up a lot of gas, so if speed isn't a concern for you, then you might just save some money on gas. For me, the bigger the better, haha.how many pounds are in a metric ton?
