Where can I buy a 40+ hp outboard motor?
Evinrude and Johnson are basically the same engine the are both built by omc like gm builds gmc and chevy pickups. I am partial to evinrude the are great tough engines family has had several since the 60'sHave an old ships compass that I know was sold to "Negrette Zawbra" in 1893?
Yahmaha, all the crabbers use um and they are really hard on motors and in the shallows alot too.where can i get parts for eska outboard motor ?
Mercury also better fuel economy if you buy optimaxwhere can I find pictures of galleons in full sail ?
I personality like Mercury They are practically maintenance free and very very reliable they also have the best service network..What is stray current corrosion, and how do you prevent it?
They all have their pros and cons.Personally, I like Johnson when the motors are small, up to 20 hp. I like Evinrude for motors up to 50 hp. and I prefer Mercury for anything over 50.
I also like Mariner for larger motors.
That doesn't mean I wouldn't take any of them at any size though.
What is a fleet of small boats called?
there are manufacturing codes for motors. they are all excellent and they all have a lemon now & then. the best motor is like the best car...it's the one that serves your needs and your pocketbook. also, the only difference between johnson & evinrude is cosmetic. basically they're the same engine & gearcase. the only poor choice i know of is the Mercury 25hp. avoid it! it's not rebuildable.where can I find a used Boat & Trailer?
There all fairly decent, I can tell you from personal experience though that the Johnson 25hp is very reliable. We use them in bad conditions all the time and very often are not able to perform proper maintenance on them, and we've had four of them for five years.More Questions & Answers ...
