Question:
what are all the things I have to consider for my budget? Is the insurance expensive? How much does it cost to keep the boat in a marina? Do i need a licence for a sailboat? I see people with their sailboat on a trailer behind their car, how do they put the boat in the water? How do they put the boat back on the trailer when they're done? All of this is totally new for me but I need to own a sailboat!
Thanks for your answer.

if there was a underwater cruise ship, would you take one?
Insurance is pricy, and you'll need a new suit every 10 years or so. As for the cost of the marina, I can't say, as it depends on which marina you go to, most will have a website where you can e-mail or call. You don't need a liscence, but you will need to register it every year. If you don't want to keep your boat at a marina, then you can buy a mooring from a yacht club and have that registered every year. To get your boats in and out of the water, you need a crane or a forklift, which most marinas have. As for the type of boat, maybe look a J-80. They're pretty comfortable and there's plenty of room. (about 26 feet) Oh yes and maybe some sailing lessons...What is the best web site for selling boats here in the midwest?
Go read some books , learn to sail & get some experience before buying.More Questions & Answers ...
