Follow up on ignition coil problems?

Question:
1999 chevy 5.7 v-8
boat inboard engine
delco distributor ignition system
fire weak at plug
showed more fire with tester
fires every now and then just trying to ground plug
its all the plugs not just one
tester fires repeatedly on plug wires
is tester just not showing that coil is bad
auto parts said coil was good but they did the same test i did by checking continuity
help
