Is there anybody in the UK who owns a private canal boat built specifically for a wheelchair user?

Question:
A friend of mine is having a canalboat built, and would be interested to hear from anyone who has similarly done so.

Answers:

What would you call the trim tabs that are mounted under the back of the boat?

i dont remember the name, i moved away about 4 years ago, but used to work at princess yachts, in billing, northamptonshire, and there was a large canal boat there, built for disabled people. it didnt belong to the delersihp, they just stored it, but might be worth giving them a call, and finding out who it is that owns it.

what are roll on roll off vessels?

Pretty sure that Kingfisher cruisers in worcestershire are involved with disabled canal boats.
