What year did the Torry Canyon run aground near Lands End?
You have conflicting answers here, and I have to say that installing on both my 11' inflatable dinghy with an 8 HP OB, as well as my 17' Whaler with it's 80 HP OB didn't appear to make any difference. I believe that any increased lift from the fin tends to be discounted by the increased water resistance. Hi danIve done it quiet a few times to my outboard engines and yes they are worth the money, they get you on the plane quicker and at slower speeds make it alot more responsive.
One point thou make sure the holes you drill are the exact match for the bolts because you cannot over tighten the bolts and they will move if the holes are to big.

Are there any boating rivers in wales as i want to buy a boat but don't fancy boating on the sea.?
I worked as a marine mechanic for the USNPS for many years. When these first came out we tried them and found no benefit at all and discontinued the trial run of using them. We used them on 17 ft whalers and bigger, maybe on a small inflatable you would see some change but we saw nothing. How can I know tht if my girlfriend is cheating me or not?

"Dole Fin's" ? They break when the boat is put in a hard "Port" or "Starboard" turn because all of the boats weight is now only on 1 wing. If you need one of these, the motor or position of the motor is WRONG on the boat, and should be installed/adjusted properly.More Questions & Answers ...
