Has to tell you somewhere on it how many amps it draws. Just make sure the breaker is larger than the draw of amps.I use a minkota 12 volt system with a 6amp fuse in between the motor just before the positive post on the battery no problems in over 6 years
Where can i find row row cargo ships in new york or on philadelphia?
Definitely agree with previous answers. 12 volt trolling motors come in many different thrusts. If you are using a hire level thrust, you may require a larger fuse. However, in addtion, you may want to post what size wire you are running from the trolling motor to the battery. I would be really concerned about the fire hazard of the wire being overloaded. You are on the right track. You would be amazed of the number of people who run unfused circuits on a boat. This is a fire waiting to happen, because wires can short out and without a fuse, you are more prone to fire. How long would it take to sail from lincoln to sheffield in a narrow boat via canal system?
I would look at the gauge of your wire and distance of your run. Although the size of your trolling motor is important, just like in your home, you do not want to draw more electricity than the wires can handle, regardless of the size of the motor.
How would i go about making a boat?
