Question to all welders?

you're not sea sick you're not drunk and you don't have your sealegs because if you did yu wouldn't feel that it's just your body continuing to move with the waves that it was used to on the boat. let me explain a little better than that, while you're on the boat, at first you feel the boat going from side to side but after a few minutes you don't feel it anymore this is because your body is automatically swaying with the boat so it doesn't feel the effects, such as vomiting. when you get off the boat your bodyt continues to do this until it realizes the wave motion is gone which can take a few hours, not for me because now i have my sea legs and my body is used to getting on and off my sailboat so it's no problem for me it'll go away the more often you boat so don't worry it's perfectly normal.

that has happened to me too. it's just that you have gotten used to that motion while on the boat, now that you're off you're body is taking time to adjust to being on ground again.
it can happen with other things too...... I would be driving my old diesel truck all day, then at night i would go to bed and hear the sound of the motor humming in my head...... but it goes away, don't worry.

I was on a live-aboard dive boat for a week and I had that same sensation for 2 days after I left the boat. I had flown the day afterward and was worried I was getting Decompression Sickness. I called Divers Alert Network & they said it was OK because it takes your inner ear some time to adjust to being on land, just like it had to adjust to the boat to begin with.

The fact that it was a small boat (60' sloop) as opposed to a large ship probably accounted for the severity and persistance of symptoms.
