Question:
I seen this keel guard listed in a catalog, are they any good and worth the money?
Thanks for any information
Answers:
They help in the resale as well as protection.
Have one on my Triton.
Will the swivel bracket from a 1981 7.5 evinrude fit a 1980 9.9?
Keel guards are great for a fiberglass boat if you ever beach your boat, it protects the front of your boat from abrasion. I put one on my flats boat and don't worry about anything messing up the hull. Important to read instructions on putting it on( the 3M glue doesn't come off easy) so line it up correctlyHatcheries that only ship a few chicks?
lets see...keel guards, or repairing the fiberglass..i'm going to have to say yes, they are worth the money...not only b/c they're cheaper than replacing fiberglass..but if the fiberglass is cracked significantly, the structural integrity of the hull if messed up...so get them, i got them on mine, and they are a little beat up after 1 season, and i didn't beach the boat or anything...they are worth it.Who knows something about ships?
It depends on what kind of driver you are and if you plan on beaching your boat alot. Especially if there might be alot of rocks. I work for a boat manufacture and I can say the ones who requested keel guards all are very happy with them.Do fiberglass hull deteriorate with age?
If you are going to get a keel guard, I would reccomend a Hamby. It is the only one that we install. Most of the others are just too thin and tear easilt if you hit something.here's a link on ebay motors where you can find them in your home town.
