Speedometer not working?

The speedo on my Maxum sportsboat (Mercruiser Alpha 1, 135HP) has stopped working, any thoughts?

I have disconnected the tubes and fed water back through the wrong way and there is flow. Boat is 3 years old.

check at the back of the speedometer to make sure it is getting the pressure input. if not then trace backwards from there.

You have a blockage in the line. If you didn't disconnect the line at the speedometer. Then have water flow to the pitot tube. When you fed the water back. The other thing, is your pitot tube angled right to pick up water flow? If all is ok, you have a plugged speedometer.

just above the "bullet" on the outdrive, in the forward part, is a 1/8" hole. carefully drill it out. it has wood or mud in it. by the way, that speedo doesn't work on water but the air pressure created by the water.
