David A is correct, use the manufacturers aftermarket pressure pak paint products but, DO NOT paint over the trim tab or the lower section of your motor will corrode very badly. Also use a wire brush on any corrosion before priming. cheers Pete.

I want to buy autopilot for my husbands boat. what kind do i need 25ft trophy?

If you use a wire brush, make sure it's stainless steel or you will only add to your problems. The primer for aluminum is usually zinc chromate and a good enamel top coat will do. There are aftermarket products available or original products from the manufacturer (OEM) that you should be able to find at any good marine supply source.
