How does newtons law of motion and bernoulli's principle affect a sailing ship?

Boating And Fishing??

Newtons Laws of Motion encompass three concepts none of which have a direct value in considering a sailing vessel:
1. An object in motion will remain in motion unless acted upon by an unbalanced force,
2. Force = (mass)(acceleration),
3. For every action there is a direct and opposite reaction
Good Old Bernoulli's Principle:
Without it modern sails would have no effect on the motion of the boat [and airplanes would all stay on the ground.]
The concept is that both the sail and wing create an airfoil over which air molecules pass both on top and bottom. Luckily, the molecules that pass over the top move through a greater distance than the ones that pass under the foil. Problem is that the molecules that pass over and the ones that pass under all must meet each other at the end of the foil. This means that the molecules that pass over the top must move faster than the ones that pass under the foil.
When this happens, a vacuum is created at the top of the airfoil, and EUREKA, the entire airfoil moves in the direction of the top of the airfoil.
If the airfoil is a wing of an airplane, trhe wing lifts upwards, look Ma, I'm flying.
If the airfoils is a sail [vertical airfoil], the sail is pulled by the vacuum in a forward direction, i.e. you're moving forward! YAY, you're sailing...
