How do i get a c.e.certification for a boat i want to ship to Greece?
TOO LITTLE INFORMATION!I am going to assume that you are referring to possible water saturation in a Glass Reinforced Plastic hull which may lead to delamination of the fibreglass...
Haul her out, high pressure hose the fouling off her hull, shore her up and inspect. You are looking initially for blisters on the hull, which when burst will ooze water. That is a sure sign, but not necessarily a serious problem, scraping the hull and allowing a long dry out period may well be all that is needed.
To be certain, though, you have to bite the bullet and pay some money to a QUALIFIED marine surveyor who will test the moisture content of your hull; section by section. Suggest you try Rupert Smith, he always advertises in Yachting Monthly. If you do call him, drop my name and web address and tell him he owes me one! He is very good and very fair.
The results will determine what to do next. If you do not know what to do next, then please feel free to email me at admin@sailingunlimited.net
Good luck,

Of all the schooners ever built before 1940 which one would be called "The worlds fastest"?
depends on whether you feel that water has entered the hull structure (grp) through delamination of the hull. If the boat is out of the water check for blisters on the underwater part of hull. If you find some it will be caused by osmosis and will some serious treatment by a specialist. If any fibreglass boat has been in the water for a very long time there will be bound to be some water ingress depending on the lay up and cure time. If the boat is currently afloat, get it lifted and drain it and get some one to check it over. Can anybody tell me where a general motors junk yard is for los angeles county?
If you suspect a serious problem a marine surveyor would be able to check the hull with a moisture meter and give you a definitive answer.pull the drain plug
