Question:
I have 1994 L drive 125hp force motor. Motor threw a rod. Is any force power head adaptable to the L drive such as a 1988 125 hp force outboard motor?

What is the better cruising sailboat for the beginner? A Hunter or Catalina?

Yes there the same power head the only thing different is an exhaust adapter plate that is bolted to the power head on the L-drive (the plate on the L-drive that has the little 3/4 inch water hose connected to it) Oh and if I remember right you might have switch or take out some of the mounting studs on the bottom of the outboard power head.

Does anybody have information about the Royal Mail liner Magdalena that sank off South America in 1949?

I would get rid of it and buy a merc or yamaha. The force outboards all have big problems almost all the time. If you can do this type of work yourself, I say go for it and use the gentlemans reply above. but if you will have to pay someone for this work to be done, you will easily be able to buy a better outboard for the cost of the repairs. I know my answer is a little off base, but I thought I would throw in a couple cents.
