How can I find sailboats or motor boats for rent or roommate opportunities in LA/Orange County?

Would like to live on a boat and am trying to find out how to locate boat owners in Orange County or South Los Angeles County that rent their boats to tenants and or have roommate opportunities.

I don't know how common this is in Orange County; I know people who own boats but none who actually live on them. You might try going to places where boats are kept (like Newport, Dana Point, Balboa Island) and seeing if there are any roommate requests posted.

On Balboa Island, there's a bulletin board posted that used to have rental opportunities on it. If you're on the main street where all the shops are and you walk to the end then turn right, it's right there at the corner. I looked for an apartment that way but again, never saw rental boats.
