How can I make a car that transforms into a boat?

We have a project, we'd like to make a car that transforms into a boat. We need to make it out of wood and it needs to float... any ideas?

I don't know if this a design project or are you going to actually build a car/boat? The Amphicar of the sixties was the only one I know of that was a commercial venture and it failed because it was slow in the water and on land. Search Yahoo or Google for "amphibious cars" and you'll get some ideas. You can't really expect anything valid on this site. BTW, there are still a few Amphicars running around today I'll bet there is an Amphicar association out there on the net - you might get some great info there.
