if you are standing on a boat and you are facing foward then behind you is the stern, in front of you is the bow. the hull itself is kinda like a bowl in a way, let me give a example, when you see a cruise pass by on the beach or just in the water, there is anywhere from 15 to 30 feet of the ship you do not see because it is under water. that 15 to 30 feet is called a draft. it means how deep the boat is in the water. a keel is the support for the hull, another example, have you ever walked in to a large building and looked up and seen the frame work that supports the roof itself, its the same way inside the hull, a bowl that size would be very flexible without that support inside it, and a bilge is basically the inside of the hull itself. it means it`s the empty space either between engines and the hull or the empty space btween the floor and the hull. so if you where to crack the hull and water came in the bilge would be the first thing to fill up. i hope this helps
