Do you know how I can get on the waiting list for residential moorings on the canal in Manchester.?

At the moment in Manchester they are restoring the strech of cancal that goes from the city centre towards the Pennines, i think the strech may be part of the Rochdale canal or Liverpool-Leeds in not too sure. Anyway i'd really like to put my name down for a residential mooring but i've no idea who to contact. Can anybody help me.

Hmmm have to say I am not sure the canal between Manchester and Rochdale is wide enough. I used to live besides it in Smithy Bridge and walked up and down it constantly.
Also I believe there is more work planned on this particular stretch.

Its very unlikely ( probably impossible ) to get an on-line residential mooring on this stretch of canal.

New residential moorings are only now given in marinas so it would be a matter of finding marina owners. I don't think there are any planned on this stretch of canal.

generally this canal is ging to be very narrow and unsuitable for on-line moorings.

You could try british waterways in watford but until the canal is opened it will not be handed over to operations so they are unlikely to even start a waiting list.
