Answers:
Can i put a chevy motor in an 1985 ski nautique.?
I've used a hydrofoil on the Chris Craft I had. She was 25 ft boat with a 330 hp 454. The boat needed no help to get on plane. With the hyrofoil, the boat would stay on plane at lower a lower speed. The boat I have now is a 30 ft Rinker. With a lower pitched prop to pull the boat out of the hole. My wide open throttle RPMs are at 4900. The specs are for my engines is 4400-4800 RPMSHas anyone ever heard of a dry dock trailor for boats? You can raise and lower the wheels.?
With a full tank of water and both gas tanks filled. The boat needed help to get on plane. I put on 2 pairs of doal fins sized for the engines hp. (twin engines) Doing that helped a lot. I think you would see some good results. Over all I think hydrofoils are worth the few bucks they cost.
Biggest issue is propeller pitch. Talk to a boat repair shop /yamaha dealer and ask them if the propeller you are using is a good match for that engine. The pitch of the prop is in essence like the gearing of your car. Props are designed to either give good "pull" (waterskiing 4-5 blade props) or for speed (small outboards for speed while using a small motor.
If they say that your prop is adequate for that scenario, then get a stabilizer fin that will bolt to outboard... this deflects the water and helps to get the boats nose down once water starts to move over it... almost like a wing on a dragster.
Who owns the boat Kismet registered in Georgetown?
good luck
International boat operators license?
There are runabouts sold for waterski sports with hull designthat quickly planes on being brought to speed. Also, in my
experience, an all aluminum marine delta use 15' design had developed a slight buckle at rear center bottom that 40hp put to plane immediately ever afterward. I sold it when county noise abatement laws ended personal watercraft usage, will soon deny petrol fueled engine use on islands, and I'm confident my choice of sea transport will not be constrained by fuel expense or laws.
