I just recieved a skeeter D-16 deck boat needs work which is why I got it but I cant find anything on the internet to help I have been to the skeeter website and no help does anyone have a hint of where to look.motor is fine most of the wiring I want to replace and I would actually like to see the thing when it was new

this one is too old to find any pics of,and the wiring on these was done as things were added to it,so on that you,ll have to just start tracing it out,i have re-wired a few run-abouts like this before,i always start from scratch on them,and run all new wires,its easier that way,good luck with it,hope this help,s.I need a wiring diagram for a 1994 electric start suzuki outboard how do i go about getting it?
An A,B,N battery selector is easy, Perko makes them. Well perko makes some. They have like 3 settings, 1 batt, 2 batts or A1,B2 together.Look at BoatUS.com
Then look for the nearest USCGAUX Squadron, they are a great resource of information and the Boating Safety Classes should be mandatory.
D-16 is a Dawson? sounds familiar. Dawson Boats in Pensacola and other parts of Fl built Walkarounds and some Deck Boats during that time.
Look at the HIN#., The HIN# is the Hull Ident Number., it is found on the Aft Port outer section near the Rub Rail. and there is one on the Port Bulkhead amidships.
The one on the back is easy to view.But may be damaged or unrecognizable because of paint or gelcoat that might have been done wrong.
After you write the HIN# down, go to BUCvalue.com or buc.com , register and run the HIN#. The USCG Marine Data Base will tell you if that is the correct HIN# for a 1978 16' PB.
The HIN# also tells you the Date the keel or hull was laid,and other data.
I used NADA.com to look up my old sailboat, ran the Year,Make,Model, and it showed up.

That bbc board looks like the place to ask. Looks like maybe they were made in Ohio?
It may not be a Dawson, the D could be for Deck Boat, HIN# will tell you that also.

you're into a "rebuild". just set it up like you want it. don't parallel the batteries, use a Perko switch as suggested. wiring codes on boats are not very standard. if in doubt just run another wire. don't use the same color for everything...i see a lot of that "stuff"!More Questions & Answers ...
