Where can i find a steering wheel that you can fit onto a pc to learn steering manouvers?
The "helm" or steering wheel is not always on the right or starboard side. Many vessels have a center helm (new Rampage 33 for instance) and a few have it on the port side. It has nothing to do with the buoy system or prop torque! If prop torque was correct then all the center console boats (Boston Whaler, Make, etc etc)and boats with left side helms would flip over.Remember Red Right Returning...The red bouy is on your right when you return to port.Your right of way to yield is on your forward right side.
The internet has EVERYTHING!!

You opened can of worms here there are several correct answers to this, but one of the main ones is when the small recreational vessels that were prop driven started appearing their bottoms where rounded with a very small keel, so when power was applied to the engine the clockwise rotating propeller pushed against the water causing the boat to torque counter-clockwise and lift so if you added the drivers weight to the right side of the boat it helped it counter this action.
How to replacing boat control lever its a side mount with trim controls.?
The Marine Mechanic has it right..its all to do with prop torque.I know from my own experience, I have two boats, one with a wheel on the left and the other with a wheel on the right.
