I am looking at an '88 Seacraft with a 200 2s Mariner and wanted to put a 4stroke 250hp Suzuki on it does anyone know if the weight would be OK?

determine weight of desired motor add to weight of boat and full load of fuel & passengers. If that does not exceed max load rating of boat then take motor weight &. Divide by 7.5 to get # of gallons equivalent. Load floated boat with expected normal load then load up transom area with equivalent weight of motor ( water is easy to use ( build a tempy tank or a few hundred gallon jugs)...eyeball trim.OR you could consult manufacturer. & don't exceed max recommended HP

Would it be possible to fit this boat with a sail?

there has to be a tag on the transome itself that tells the max weight allowed for the transome and the max horse power allowed. if not then contact seacraft on thier web site and get the info from them.
