Florida boating st. johns river?
there is more than just buying the permit. You have to hire a pilot. and there must be a man on each quarter of the boat standing by with lines in case there is trouble. Getting through the canal is a big deal. If you have plans to do it allow for plenty of time and a few extra dollars that many don't consider... Jimpaid in advance - permit
Need to know the oil and gas ratio of 70hp evinrude?
There are locks where you must stop and register and pay before you go through. The Panama canal is not terribly interested in private boater, they are interested in the big boats. You have to go along with the big ones when they open the locks.Which is a better boat? A Searay or a Cobalt?

i have a mid 70's merc 115 inline 6 outboard has no power in the water?
Payment of tolls will be done physically at the local Citibank or you can wire the funds directly to the TINA MCBRIDE YACHT SERVICES, S.A. account to help expedite your transit. I provide the account details upon request. If you pay with a credit card, Visa is the only card they accept. Make sure you inform your bank you are paying the tolls for transiting the Panama Canal prior to arriving in Panama. I’ve had clients whose credit cards have been declined for security reasons. For transit, the buffer fee is retained until you complete your transit and credited to your card afterwards. If you have an accident or have mechanical problems while transiting, The Panama Canal Authority will retain this buffer fee to pay for the costs of towing your vessel or charge you for a transit delay fee. If the cost of towing your vessel exceeds the buffer, then arrangements are made to pay for the costs of towing, inspection, mooring, etc. Before you continue your transit. These are all extra fees if you have mechanical problems or have an accident. If you pay in cash for your transit and do not have mechanical problems while transiting and do not incur any extra costs while transiting, then your buffer fee will be refunded in approximately 20 working days.
Need recommendation for home brew or commercial cleaner for fiberglass boat?
The Panama Canal Authority will cut a check in the name of the person you put down in the form it uses to pay for the transit at the bank. If you do not have enough lines, they can be rented locally for $100.00. You must have 4 able bodied persons aboard for transiting that are experienced with lines and transiting through locks or have many years of sailing and are familiar with the process. If you don’t have enough persons, you can hire local line handlers. Cost: $65.00 per day, if you spend the night the cost doubles.
