Drain your tank, clean it with isopropyl alcohol, air it out and refill with gas. Change your filter and before putting a new filter back in, drain your gas line as best you can. If your engine is not a four cylendar it has a water seperating fuel filter. Look for the filter, replace it. Drain your tank real good since the sugar settles and fill it up. Good to go. Do this, take a beaker, glass cup, paper cup anything that will hold a liquid. put some unleaded fuel in it. Now add sugar. what will happen is the sugar will gel up. when it gels up it will get in to the filter and clog it up. It will also clog the fuel pump, pump sock, the float assembly, and if it manages to make it way to the injectors/carburetor it will destroy injectors and cause the carb to be completely gone though. Did someone put sugar in your tank? you have to pull the tank and have it flushed. flush all the fuel lines, possibly replace the pump and float system. and have the injectors/carb cleaned or replaced. this will cost a good sum of money.how do destroyers sirens make thier "whoop whoop" sound?
No a true myth sugar is not soluable with gas!Try it put some gas into a test tube,add sugar shake well and see for yourself!with the exception of plugging up the fuel filter and finger filter in the fuel tank if so equipped thats about it.

NO, The fuel filter will stop it, GASOLINE has detergents in it and will dissolve ANYTHING ! it's a great parts cleaner, unfortunatly people use it in their basement or garage, the furnace kicks on, or someone turns on a light and "KA-BOOM", use diesel fuel for cleaning parts. I would flush out the fuel system with fresh gas, replace filter, and not worry about itsugar doesn't dissolve in gasoline. Don't take my word for it. Experiment.
