Question:
how safe is ebay's protection program when it comes down to purchasing a car from out of the country?
Answers:
If u bought a car and then dont want it anymore can u return it?
Buyer protection is VERY limited, you must qualify, the dollar amounts generally won't cover a car purchase, you WILL have to go to dispute resolution and there are NO guarantees, no matter what you read.

Next, are you saying the only car that will satisfy you is not available in your own country? That seems too limiting. Are you saying a "great deal" is available but from an out of country seller? That's probably a scam. If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is.
How do i get out of a car loan?
Look for a few things. First, what's the seller's rating. If it's zero, or lacks member information, it's a scam. The "seller" has posted the listing from out of country and eBay's not able to confirm membership. Second, is the price fair for a car in it's condition? If it's well below value, it's a scam. The seller could sell it locally for that price without the cost of eBay. Third, if there's no VIN available, you can't do a CARFAX check, so it's possibly a scam. Not always, some folks don't like listing the VIN, but I won't buy without it. Last, if they don't answer questions, or give you a "I'm in country X but the car's in country Y" answers, it's a scam.
Can someone run me a free carfax report?
Bottom line: Buy in country, only from sellers with good ratings, only after checking the VIN, only after contacting the seller, and only through a protected 3rd party payment process, like PayPal. For more info, check eBay's Security and Resolution page.

Car buyers...what would you do?
Yes of course. Theres nothing dodgy at all about eBay, thousands of people dont get ripped off everyday and the more expensive the item is and the further away its coming from the safer it gets for you my friend!there are TONS of scams on ebay right now with vehicles. just get one here or in CA. if you're looking for a vehicle that is not sold in the US, there are companies that import and homologate cars for US use. but it's serious $$$$
Pay repair shop for a vehicle that you took over payment and they did not pay it is up for repo?
Why would you want to buy a car sight unseen? They can show a picture that may not be the car, and they can describe the car anyway they want to, and there be problems with it including flood damage. As far as getting your money back from ebay, it can be a hassle. Go buy a car where you can test drive it and see what condition it is in.Where to find cars used in movies and t.v. shows?
No way, I can almost guarantee you its a scam...This guy wanted to sell me a 2005 subaru impreza WRX STi for like $10,000, which is way less than its worth...he said he would have to fly back to the US to show it to me or something, saying he was in England...Well I just so happened to be in England at that same time and told him that...never could get a response.Great websites for car auctions.?
