Has anyone bought a car using one of those US internet asset seizure sites?

Question:
If these sites are legit, the savings on (especially classic and sports) cars are phenomenal. I could actually afford to my dream car, a Dodge Viper. Apparently, law enforcement/ customs type agencies sell the various assets they seize during apprehension of (apparently very rich) criminals, and need to sell them ASAP, as storage costs would become a huge burden. Would love to hear from anyone who has purchased, or know someone who has

Car Sales?

Sorry, but those are Internet phishing sites and other such scams to unload you of a few bucks for worthless information. These cars are wholesaled to auction houses and dealers, and then resold to the public. If you think a deal is too good to be true it is because it is.

How does the DMV calculate the sales tax on a registered vehicle?

If you want to buy a seizure car, get hold of your local police dept. They can tell you when and where they are holding an auction or do a google search for police seized cars and auctions.
