Where's the best place to trade your used car in and get the best value??

Question:
I live in the DFW area and need to trade in this POS, but don't really know the best place to get the highest value trade in. Any ideas??

Answers:

Anybody out there have a 2005 Expedition XLT ?

Dealers are only going to give you KBB wholesale at best. Selling your car on AutoTrader or CarSoup or similar website, or perhaps eBay will give you the best chance for the highest price for your car. You will seemingly get more for your car if you trade it in for a brand that is offering large incentives and/or rebates. Also, at the end of the month is your best time to trade-in your car because the dealerships are trying to make their sales quota so they're going to be aggressive towards working out a deal to make the sale.

I'd like an opinion on the best minivan purchase right now - price is important but not everything...........?

The short answer is: don't. Trade-in to a dealer means the dealer HAVE to low-ball you (or raise the price on the car you're buying to make up for the loss). After all, he's there to turn a profit.

I want a pnk car, 2006 camry, nissan maxima, acura. Where can I get one? Does any one make them?

Sell the POS or donate it for tax benefits, then worry about buying something else.
