Salvaged Chevy Cavalier 2002 - good or bad idea?
When a car is repo'd, the car is sent to auction. It is sold to the highest bidder, could only be a few hundred bucks, whatever the bid is, they deduct from your balance owed at the bank. You have to pay the balance leftover, period. There are no pros when it comes to repo, it will affect your credit for years, and you have to pay the balance owed, and you don't get to keep the car. You are much better off, borrowing money from someone to get your loan current, or get a second job so you can make the payments and insurance. One time of getting in over your head should cure you of signing on for more than you can afford. My friend Zoie is a ***** but I can't tell her. Any advice?
your asking if you have to continue making payments, you didn't do that before, and that's why you are in repo land. They will bill you the difference between what the car gets at auction, and what is still owed to the institution of which you borrowed the money. Catch up somehow...dont' get your car repoed, there is nothing good that will come of it. That's from a financial standpoint. from a moral standpoint: catch up, you borrowed money, they lent it to you in good faith, it's your responsibility.More Questions & Answers ...
