Question:
I currently own a 1996 Honda Accord coupe, but I'm planning on having a vehicle that I can haul film gear in, in hopes that I can get equipment for my superiors on set. The concern I have is... well... I want a vehicle that will also allow me to get a date out in California... nobody want's to be taken to a nice restaurant in an old beat-up truck... unless it's something really old like one of those Land Rover Defenders from the late 1960s... the type you'd see on a safari...

Just curious, and want to see what others think.

Now, to stay in the same family, Honda, I'd try the Element, CRV, or Pilot. All work very well for carrying gear around.

If you want to go all out and get a truck but still have something the size of a car, try the Chevy Colarado, Ford Ranger, Toyota Tacoma, or any 'mini' pick up. Stay away from the Dodge and Mitsi pick-ups because of gas mileage and transmission issues.
