I currently have a 98 rodeo but im going to be moving soon to an area where it doensnt snow.so im thinking its going to be much more economical not to drive an suv with 4 wheel drive.since im never going to need the 4 wheel drive without snow. Anyways I hate driving small cars...but i want something that isnt horrible on gas (my rodeos gas milage is a pain). What can i buy with about 4000 dollars that is a mid size/ large car that gets 25 miles to the gallon or more?

Check into 6 cylinder engine powered cars, likely in the range of 92-97 or so, for that kind of money you might get up to y2k but idk for sure, depends kinda what you want.The 6 cylinder engine, if you drive it nice, gets up to 25 mpg but leaves you with plenty of pep, otherwise you'll want to go with a peppy 4-cylinder but by the time you get into somewhat roomy cars the 6 cylinder provides the power you'll want.

Keep in mind condition affects price, while some cosmetic defects help lower it, you want something that runs strong and in that sense a general rule of thumb is the better the looks the better the upkeep (but not always), I would advise you put reliability and performance over looks but to a point you'll have to decide.
