Its a "foreign Car" , but nowadays V.W.s, are just about Americanized....And I do believe they have them in the comvertible tops, now.. And they are definately "good on Gas!!" Or you could go with the new car's they have out, that are not only "Good on Gas" there economically safe.the "Hybrid's" are less fuel than any other car, but I would think being that there so new, and ecologically safer, they'd be a bit "Pricey" but tell your friends about them those who can afford them, you know.. Just get a banger for you first car, not worth spending loads on it because you'll have enough to pay with insurance, tax, MOT and petrol ect! Trust me, I'm 17, work full time and still can't afford to run my car each month without borrowing petrol money from my mum. I've got a 1998 Rover 214i it was £350 from a colleague but is worth £850.
