I bought a used 2000 z28 camaro...?
You can buy a 3 or 4 year old Ford Taurus for well under 10K. There are so many of them because they were a popular fleet car. (rental cars and company vehicles)I wouldn't worry too much about it being a previous rental. Just have it checked out by a mechanic and have the dealer do a Car Fax check for you. That way you know everyone who owned the car before and if there was a salvage title from another state, etc.
Also check into Fords used warranties or check out http://www.warrantydirect.com . It's about another thousand but it's still way less than buying a used Toyota or Honda.
What is the best vehicle that has great gas milage and great power.?

This is the only way to really tell if the car is in good shape internally.
Don't buy a Ford. We had ours transmission on a Ford Windstar fail completely after just 67,000 miles. The cost to fix it was $3100 and the value in blue book for a working Windstar was $3500. So we just decided to ditch it.

..NO JOKE.
Answer: Buy Toyota or Nissan or Honda. They are still concerned with quality and longevity.
If its a new car you shouldn't have any issues for at least 3 years. American cars are not as bad as people like to think.
( Alot of the younger people think american cars are not any good because they saw a stupid unrealistic movie called fast and furious and it was all rice burners in the movie.)
What is the best way to negotiate the price down on a used car?
I would say buy what you like as long as if fits in your budget, or if it leaves you more than expected left over. Buy the car, not the miles. Just because it has low miles doesn't mean it will be any better than one with more. Also, vehicles last only slightly longer than what your willing to maintain it.
Another thing, check to see if there are major differences in insurance expence. You might be surprised at the cost differences.
I owned an 86 pontiac parisianne up till 06 and never had any major trouble with it at all. I bought 2 other cars and sold it for a couple hundred just to find it another home an make space for my muscle cars.
Except for the Impala all your other choices are junk. I would say you would have to be confused to even consider anything from Japan.
Gary is retreated and must drive a tow truck for a living and needs the business that's created by people driving American cars Honda's are bullet proof and hold there value very well
If I were in your situation, I would buy a used Volvo with low to reasonable miles on it. They last forever and hold their value well, and are good on gas.

I would purchase a Honda or Toyota, I don't find the other's you listed as dependable cars that hold their resale value.More Questions & Answers ...
