Question:
car purchase, with large company balence to be paid, salesman filled out forms incorrectly, and put on price that was a thousand pounds under the advitised price am i within my rights to demand this signed upon price?
Answers:
Are SUV's still a hot car? which is the safest one out there?
If the form was the original purchase contract, then yes, you are entitled to ask for the discounted price, as that was what was written down, signed and agreed to by both parties . The car dealer will still disagree/refuse to sell the car to you and it will more than likely end up in court. Once you start proceedings they will more than likely give you the discounted price as it will be more expensive for them to contest it as well as bad publicity. This is my opinion only but a call to a motoring organisation, another car dealer not associated with the one your dealing with or a solicitor should point you in the right direction.Who can help me ,about cars .thanks very much !?
If papers are signed yes. It is a legal and binding contract. Is a seller responsible for a vehicle after it is sold?
Omce you have signed the papers it automatically becomes a legally binding document.I cannot imagine if the error was other way that they would chabge it in your favour, would they?
I think you should demand that they stick by the contract they made. The error was not made by you & was in no way a lpot to defraud them. Stick to your guns.
Anyone know the top speed of the 2006 or 2007 commodore SS 6.0 litre? Or estimate??
i had exactly the same problem when i purchased my car. i had agreed everything and was part exchanging my old car. i paid a deposit and then they tried to discount my old car because the deal went into the next month which the garage claimed devalued my old car. effectively they had changed the terms of contract. What type of car do you suggest?
i refused this change and told them to refund my money and i would walk away from the deal.
How can Car Dealerships cost vary so much?
the garage did not want to lose my business it seems as they conceded and i purchased the car at the agreed price.
What is the best way to get low monthly payments on a new car?
the point is the garage obviously wanted to sell the car more than i wanted to buy it and did not want to lose a contract. i am sure i was legally correct but my stratergy did run the risk of losing the car.

if it was to ever go to court, you would win as you say it was his fault and he should have checked it before giving it for you to sign
HELP...Planning to move to Fort Lauderdale, FL. Info what place evade renting?
If you signed the contract, they must honour it.What car can you compare the Nissan Maxima to?
I would say that there's not much they can do as, it is a signed contract with that price on it so, they can't ask you to pay any more, they made the mistake not you.Whats a hot car (for a guy) at an inexpensive price?
I got a car for 2k less than advertised on the window last xmas, as they made a mistake on the web site, with a different price. They had to sell it to me at that price as I had printed off the price on the website.
I do not think so. You would certainly be entitled to your full deposit returned, since they were responsible for the error.
1958 chevy truck near San Antonio, tx?
Better check your order form. Quite often dealers solicitors will put a condition in allowing them to wriggle out of contracts like this. But, however if you and the dealer BOTH signed the order and you have been given a copy of the order and contract you stand a good chance of getting the vehicle at that price. Just make sure you remember clearly what was said between you and the salesperson prior to the signing of the contract. How much should i spend on a car as a percentage of my yearly salary?
Ok here is the thing. First each state dmv sale laws are dirrerent. If you really want an answer and your in the US you can call your states attorney general office. Most have a motor vehicle complaint section. They are the best at knowing whats legal in your city. Some dealers use "offer" forms that you sign and make up the actual contracts when you pick up the vehicle. Some place in fine print they put. this document subject to final audit. I personally would not take a car from a dealer if they changed the price. With car sales the way they are today I would walk out and go to another dealer even if you had to drive 100 miles to get there. You will see how fast they change their mind. if you have a deposit down on the offer you can, in most states, get your mony back if they change something on you that you did not sign off on. When I was a Ford Zone manager I was told some salesmen forged customers signatures. Some times some sales people, to make their saturday or monthly quota or contest bonus will stoop real low to make the deal. The management gets it and says what the heck and stops the car from ever leaving. In the mean time the sales man got his commmision already can float it for another week hoping for a better week so when they charge him back for the loss sale his paycheck will not hurt..Or he will do it again to someone else and get awaywith ti. I hate to say it but thats the game that out there in many dealers. I would corner the owner and or the General Manager , not the sales manager and see if you can work it out.. if not walk out with your check bookMore Questions & Answers ...
