Finding a good CHEAP student car?

alright, so i am currently a busy student. aside from having many commitments a week, many of my friends live around half-hour away.

Does This Sound Like One of those Scams ?


i am 16 going on 17, but i have a restricted license so having a parent in the car is not an issue. it would be so much more convenient if i were able to drive myself to school, sports practice, rehearsal, friends, etc. HOWEVER,

What should I sell this item for?


both my parents work. we have two cars. that is, i have nothing to drive. i feel really bad asking my relatives for money. a lot of my friends have been getting cars from their older relatives, but mine live far away, and asking for just money seems kinda tacky/selfish. however, due to this (and the fact that my parents are all like "good luck cuz we're not helping") i have basically no way to earn money. plus, i cannot hold a job, as i'd be able to actually work it...one day a week. heh. i have a lot of stuff going on, plus school.

Whatever combination of things, get involved with them. They'll be happy with you, but they'll have to drive you to them. As that gets old with them, they'll be amenable to getting you a car.

Also start saving for a car. Pennies in the jar type of thing. But make sure they know what you're doing. You can't save enough but you'll impress them with your financial prudence and your willingness to take part of the burden.
