I need a winter snow car...I'm looking for a car that handles well and tracks the road better than most? Help?

Question:
Right now I'm looking at either the Outback or the Baja from Subaru, but I'm interested in hearing other ideas.

Why are used car's almost as expensive as new car's?

I'm hoping to find something in the $18k-28k range.

Is it illegal to sell a car with a clear title if I think there may be a lean against it?

If you like the Subaru Outback, which model?

Want to sell my car, but i'm still making payments.?

I don't want a vehicle with a high center of gravity---one that handles like a car. I drive on winding highways at high speeds. I find myself slamming on the brakes on my current Isuzu because the high center gravity starts pulling it off the road. (I slid into a ditch already this winter when I hit a patch of ice!)

Do any one know where to get a cheap old car that runs?

Go with the Subaru for reliability, dependability , safety, handling and ride. Plus the AWD system is on of the best. If maintained properly these cars will last a long time plus the re-sale value is really good.

Buying a new car help.?

Oh Gosh! you left out Geo Tracker, Suzuki Samurai, Suzuki X90, and the all popular KIA Spotage. Al three great choices for the bucks.

my wife has a Baha AWD its grrate in the snow she loves it..

Honda Civic LX Sedan automatic or Toyota Corolla CE?

The Subary Legacy also. It's a 4 door sedan. It's a little nicer than the Outback but still in your price range.
Really if you want a car with AWD that is good in the snow, you want a Subaru. There is nothing else worth talking about.

Anyone know where I can find a dirt cheap car rental company that will allow me to rent a car at age 18 in NJ?

There are alot of all-wheel drive cars available in that price range, if ground clearance isn't an issue. I've been a GM guy all my life, but that new Chrysler Sebring with all-wheel drive has some really nice features, and starts around $18k. I'd shop around and find someone close and a car with a really long warranty, whatever brand you choose. And someone who has free loaner cars incase yours needs repaired.
Compare fuel milage, owner satisfaction, recalls, resale value, and maybe even try out a used model somewhere else just to see how your new car is going to be after it has some miles on it.
When spending that much, I always take a week and do some research. You'll be glad you did.

Where can i find a use car dealer ship in mcminnville tn?

Yup. Give Louis G the points - he's right. Subaru rules the wasteland dude. I had a wagon in High School and it was old, but it was the best vehicle in the snow. Better than 4WD pickups, better than anything. Nowadays, I guarantee it's the most secure in snow - better than anything. Even the ever popular SUVs right up to Range Rover and Hummer.
