Carfax ... what does this mean ?

Question:
I was checking for cars history in carfax and I found that .. the car has a clean title history but a couple of years back.. it says that "the vehicle was offered for sale". What does this mean?
The car is still with its first and single owner who is now offering it for sale.. Does this mean there is anything wrong with the car or does the affect the cars history in a bad way? Quick answers will be appreciated.
