I traded my car in for a new truck and it has a few things wrong with it like for instance the tires are bald, the alignment is off, the doors wont lock and it had a leak. Shouldnt all of that be under the warranty? Or did I just screw myself?

When a dealership sells you a car, in most states, it has to have passed inspection, or will pass inspection. With bald tires alone, the vehicle won't pass inspection. You really need to go back there and push the issue. However, if you bought the truck in "as is" condition, that's a different story.A "new" truck? Surely you mean a new "used" truck. The dealer can sell you anything if you want to buy it. Who forced you to buy it?

gotta check out all that stuff before you buy something. Im gonna guess that they will not cover that stuff as it isnt really mechanical. fi you have a warranty, it usually covers the drivetrain and engine. im guessing it is "new" to you.

you have 2 weeks to renig on the deal....take it back and tell them to screw themselves...fix the problems or you will take them to court....there is a limited 30 day warranty on everything when buying from a dealer...and to sell a vehicle with bad tires...whoa...go get them.Want to buy a 2nd hand car off internet, where can i find stats on it?
was it sold as is?if not you might have a claim. for warranty work but don't count on it. tires are considered normal wear and tear items . say the truck has 35000 miles on it and the tires are 30000 mile tires well your screwed.alignment same thing bad tires makes for poor alignment. door locks. normal wear and tear. as for the leak why didn't you notice that? did you take the truck to a mechanic for a look over? and you might have just a power train warranty. but if they value there customers they might make it right with you. some places have a 3 day 3000 mile warranty if you don't want the truck they sometimes take it back. if they didn't sell your trade in by then.. hope this helps
A dealership can sell you a vehicle in any kind of condition "AS IS" and you can't even complain about it after you've taken it off their lot. It doesn't even have to have tires or an engine. You must decided what you want to purchase before you sign the contracts and take legal possession or you're stuck with whatever you leave with...PERIOD
What state?? If you bought in Mass. the vehicle MUST pass safety and emissions..I don't know what kind of warranty they give but it must pass inspection........... If you live in Mass. keep track of all info. Who you talked to, what they said , Dates, time ,etc.,etc. Then if they refuse to assist you at their expense, get on the phone to the District Attorney in Boston and they will take it from their.....I hate a dam'n thief....Good luck, I really mean it....
