I'm a newlywed getting ready to start a family. My husband and I are really interested in the Xterra, but the warranty isn't so great. It's only 3 years/36,000 miles...Anyone know how well this vehicle runs after a years?

Can I return a new car my wife bought but now is sick and unable to drive?
i own a shop, and they hold up well beyond the warranty period i have done very little work on these Nissan's are probably one of the best vehicles on the road today,,,and you can buy an extended warranty for it also,,and this is usually a good idea to purchase it,but so far,,none of my customers has needed to have an extended warranty,,good luck with it, hope this help,s.have a good x-mas.I bought a new car 7 months ago, would it be possible for me to trade in so soon?
The X terra is a great SUV and has a large club following.. but it will use a lot of gas.. they are great off road but thirsty.. I would look at a Toyota Highlander or Rav 4 for more family type driving. Also the Honda CR V and Element are good an more gas friendlyneed a good used car a great price fl.state tell me asap?
as far as safety goes, the Xterra's are amazing. one of my friends was in a terrible accident while driving one. the xterra was hit by a 18 wheeler, it rolled several times, ended up sitting on its roof. my friend only had minor bruses!! she got another xterra. Its not exactly the best family vehicle. I am sure it will run fine for years but its more for off road enthusiasts or those that want to look like off road enthusiasts. If you want an SUV type vehicle there are many many choices. One more thing, dont fall for this perception that Japanese vehicles are given to us by God and therefore are the best. It isnt true. Go check out the new Ford Edge. Looks like a great family vehicle.
