we absolutely love our mini - it has great handling and is so much fun. I don't think it feels particularly low to the ground when you're riding in it. I also don't think the small trunk or back seat are issues since you CAN fit people in the back seat (if they're small) and you can always put the seats down for storage.

the biggest negative for us is that it's a very stiff/bumpy ride - but of course, that's also half the fun.
