in 1998 i purchased a 1995 pontiac grand am for $8000, then in 2004 a honda accord for $18,000, now a 2007 accord for $25,000. i also had a 2002 lexus es which leased but it was expensive and now lease a 2005 lexus rx, that is expensive too because they are both fully loaded next about to lease a porshe, benz, beamer, or lexus SUV. leasing is better than purchasing because you NEVER have any problems and never have to open the hood of the car.There are alot of "inexpensive" cars out there. What you have to look for is the cost of upkeep and repair. Look for included maintenence deals and high mileage warranties.

Kia.. and it's cheap for a reason. I've had a few friends who bought Sephias and Rios and they all started falling apart as soon as they were driven off the lot. All the problems conveiniently are not covered by the warranty either. Also the value of the cars plummet over the period of just a year or so. Just look around online you can buy a nearly new Kia used for like $2000-3000. YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR.Is the dealer-certified tag worth the extra money when buying a used car?
