Check stubs, bank statements, etc.
Answers:
Cars for cheap under $1500 any websites to help?
it really depends if you're going to a dealership or you're going to a bank or credit union... if it's a dealer that would acctually find a bank to finance you (I'm guessing this is what you mean) then all you need is your last 2 pay stubs and driver license.FYI: you won't be able to leave the dealership ground with the car unless you got insurance on it... esurance is a good website to get if cheap and fast.
Longest lasting make / Least problematic car in the long run?
what you need to take with you depends on your credit worthiness. You certainly need your driver's license, your proof of insurance card, any title work for a trade in (or payment book if you have a balance owed) and your downpayment money (check or cash is usually fine). As far as any other paperwork, proof of residence or proof of income, that would all be requested by the financing source, which in most cases is not the dealership. Those items are typically requested on a case by case basis. If you have good credit, you may not need to provide proof of anything, as some of tht is on your credit report (address, employer etc..).The BEST thing to have...
PRE-approved loan from YOUR bank or credit union.
That way YOU have the upper hand.
