Question:
Any of you that own the 2007 Expedition what is the true gas mileage like?
Answers:
2007 Honda Civic LX Coupe? Any comments about this car?
If you absolutely must have the space, then the Expedition is the better choice, but see if you can get a diesel version. It will be very expensive to buy, fuel, maintain and operate and a diesel version will get better mileage, last longer and will require less maintenance. Gas mileage will vary based on engine choice, but expect around 12-14. The EPA estimates are usually optimistic. What is the resale value of a 270S 2006 Adventurer Travel Trailer?
Also, buy a used one. With rising fuel prices, there's a glut of these vehicles right now and you'll save thousands on depreciation by getting a 2 or 3-year old model. You can find a well maintained, low mileage lease return or rental for 30-50% off list price for a new one. Many of these may still be under some factory warranty, but if not, contact your insurance company for information on an extended warranty - especially for a Ford or other American make.

They also have a flat lower loading floor and wide rear doors. My short wheelbase passenger van hauls 8 passengers, has an 8' cargo bed length, can haul two motorcycles inside and can pull a full size trailer. No SUV today can do all that. pros- nonecons- it's a ford
I would suggest looking at anything but a Ford. They are junk!
Try a Nissan, Toyota, Honda, Dodge, GMC/Chev, or anything that's not ford. Nissan Pathfinder, Nissan Armada Toyota 4-runner or Toyota Landcruiser, Dodge Durango or Gmc Yukon or Chev. Tahoe.
