Sometimes dealers advertise the push/pull/or tow to sell their new cars. Give it a shot, but if they are going by the book value of your vehicle they wouldn't except it.Your more reputable dealerships will trade for anything.
will anyone buy a 2002 acura rsx thats salvaged?
At our dealership, we have wholesalers that buy vehicles of every condition. Every vehicle has a value so you should be able to get something from trading. Granted, as you know, the value of the vehicle is greatly decreased with a major mechanical issue like this. However, it's often easier just to trade it in rather than have to deal with disposing of the vehicle yourself.
It really depends on the Dealer, I have seen worse cars than that get on the average of 1 to 2 thousand dollars for a trade in. It really doesn't make a differance because alot of dealers can make that money back by using creative ways, higher interest, trying to get you to buy a more pricy car, selling extended warranty's, ect.... so giving you 500, 1000, or 1500, really is not all that much for your car, they will make that back plus some more !
