Assuming you don't want an SUV--with which I agree--look at a Subaru. They are all four wheel drive, and the Impreza and Legacy Outback are particularly stylish. If you get one with a "1" as the first character in the VIN, it was made in America!Which car rental companies sell their cars to the public?
if you are wanting a car Go with a front wheel drive car. Stay away from rear wheel drive as they will spin a lot. Try to stay mid sized as they will have some weight to them. taurus, Impala, etc. If possible upgrade to an SUV with 4 wheel drive. The Durango is very nice. What is "best" for the snow is subjective...depending on how u drive, comfort level in snow, etc. Personally, I cant stand a FWD car in the snow. It understeers like crazy so u just end up going straight while ur trying to turn. With RWD, you have to worry about the back end swingin around, which for me...is easier to control than FWD understeer. I have a mazdapseed 6.AWD...and i love it. It handles great in the snow. If the snow is generally heavy...go SUV. Again, its what you prefer, but my vote is for AWD.How would you convince your parents to allow you to get a car?
