they cant do anything...when a private seller sells a car its 'as is' you dont have to state that to the person...its known..now if you owned a business that would be different...they should have gave everything a once over before he paid the car..although it was a little shady of you not to tell them about the title but it wasnt an obligation...they should have asked about the title...when buying a car a person usually asks that especially from a private seller...also with the suspension..he took it too a shop..you can take any car to a shop and somethings going to pop up...tell them that you sold the car as is and nothing was wrong with the suspension when you sold it to them

If they had purchased it from a dealer, yes, they would have a strong case.In a private sale, it depends on if you put anything in writing saying the car was 'in good shape'.
If you ran an ad in the paper saying, Great Car in perfect shape...and did not disclose the salvage title, they may have a case.

i own a repair shop,and legally they may be able to make you take the car back,,if you didn't tell them it was re-constructed before you sold it to them,,i used to fix them back before also,,and this started happening to them,so i don't fix any more back,,i junk them out ,and sell the parts off of them,,people aren't wanting these any more,,they do give trouble,,but the computer wont tell them the frame is bad,,not the on board computer for the car,anyway..but to end this,,you may have to refund their money,,they can sue you and probably win,,a judge will side with them on this matter,,and there isn't any thing you will be able to do about it,,its bad that's the chance you take when you fix one back,,it can come back to haunt you,,good luck i hope it all works out,,happy new years.how can i return the car? i lost my job and i can't pay for it anymore?
If you intentionally lied about the car then they can sue you. If you have an "as is" bill of sale then you're free from all obligation; unless of course you didn't disclose all the facts. I would suggest making an offer to settle if you don't have an "as is" bill of title. You could retain an attorney to send a letter and scare them; or you can have your attorney negotiate w/ them or their attorney.Tell them you are sorry , but it was "as is" and you have spent the money.
